Building a pilot project of integrated waste-to-energy facility in Vietnam, Indovin are providing alternative solution and major breakthrough step towards landfill diversion securing energy recovery from the communal waste.
WASTE MANAGEMENT HANOI
The pilot facility will be located in Xuan Son, Son Tay district, City of Hanoi and will recover new resources and energy from municipal waste. Furthermore, the facility will significantly reduce the amount of waste dumping to local landfills, hence reducing the emission of landfill gases and health obstructions.
WTE and SDGs
The WTE initiative has been introduced to the City of Hanoi through Special Envoy of Seychelles for ASEAN, who is concurrently Director Asia Pacific of Regions20. The pilot project will mobilize investment and technologies to build a pioneer Integrated Waste-to-Energy facility and centre of excellence for training and technology transfer for replication to realize zero waste city. The pilot project will serves as national prototype to demonstrate the commitments of Vietnam on sustainable development goals and to eliminate climate change.
WTE TASK FORCE HANOI
To actively implement the project, the Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee has appointed Task Force Members in order to exchange information timely and precisely and guarantee the due progress of the Hanoi Waste-to-Energy Pilot Project. The task force will supervise and monitor the pilot project and accelerate the formalities and the inter departments permits to realize on time delivery of the facility.
